Big Mac Loves to Hoop It Up

When Kyle McConnell was a junior in high school he decided to dedicate himself to basketball. Now he’s a junior in college and he has zero regrets about his decision.
McConnell, a graduate of Cedar Crest, is currently the starting point guard on Elizabethtown College’s Division Three men’s basketball team. Partly due to his guidance, the Blue Jays sport a 12-3 overall mark and a 4-2 record within the Commonwealth Conference.
The 5-9 McConnell has started all 15 games for the Blue Jays and averages about 25 minutes of playing time per contest. McConnell, who averages about six points per game, leads Elizabethtown in assists at an average of six per and in steals.
In his senior season at Cedar Crest, McConnell, a business administration major, led Cedar Crest to its last appearance in the District Three Class AAAA playoffs.
