MYERSTOWN – The Eastern Lebanon County football team booster club recently honored the Raider football players and staff for their accomplishments during the 2012 season at an informal banquet at the Christian Fellowship Fireplace, on east Washington Avenue in Myerstown.
The football coaching staff of head coach Robert Miller, John Carley, Mitch Davis, Earl Thomas, Derek Fulk and Bob Williams honored their warriors with different awards and recognitions. Team Manager Kathleen Gilbertson was graciously congratulated for her constant recordkeeping and devotion.
The Fighting Heart / Fred Poorman Award was bestowed upon senior Schulyer Harting for his outstanding offensive and defensive performances. The Iron Man / Jarrod Ocker Award was given both to Kyle Keefer for his great offensive attitude, and Zach Carley for strong continuous offensive and defensive line work.
The four man captain team, namely Adam Shoemaker, Harting, Carley and Dalton Debelius, individually provided words of encouragement and endearment to the future Elco football hopeful that evoked response and laughter from the listeners. The graduating seniors were all given beautiful framed & numbered ELCO team shirts.
