Johnny Flocken is a special person.

He is a super fan. And he is the Northern Lebanon football team’s number-one fan.

On Sunday, October 6, the Northern Lebanon Midget football association honored Flocken for his 40 years of supporting football at Northern Lebanon High School, with a commemorativ jersye. During those 40 years, Flocken has also inspired young student-athletes and has served as a Vikings’ honorary assistant coach.

Flocken, 60, suffers from mental disabilities. But he has been a fixture on the sidelines at Fred Gahres Stadium since the late 1970s, and at one time, even accompanied Northern Lebanon to away games.

There are few things Flocken enjoys more than Friday nights, Northern Lebanon victories and Viking touchdowns.
