An Old Dutchman, Nordall is the Newest Flying Dutchman

BY JEFF FALK

For some, familiarity breeds contempt. For Robert Nordall, familiarity breeds content.

Following the 2014 spring season, Nordall and his alma mater parted ways. But alas, Nordall has landed on his feet, with a different alma mater.

Nordall is the Lebanon Valley College baseball program’s newest assistant coach. A 2005 graduate of LVC, Nordall had been the head baseball coach at Lebanon High, from which he graduated a half-decade earlier, for the past seven seasons.

Nordall joins the staff of another Lebanon County native, Flying Dutchmen head coach Keith Evans, a graduate of Elco. Nordall has taught biology at Lebanon High School over the past ten years.

Nordall returns as a coach to the place of his college playing days. A four-year letter winner and a two-year captain, Nordall helped Lebanon Valley to the 2002 Middle Atlantic Conference championship.

Nordall, a pitcher by trade, still ranks second on the Flying Dutchmen’s all-time wins list with 13 and career strikeouts with 128.

The circuit’s coaches tabbed Lebanon Valley to finish fifth in the Commonwealth Conference this spring.
