Odrick to Host Third Installment of Golf Classic

BY JEFF FALK

He may have been numbers 53, 91, 98 and now 75 on the football field. But when it comes to golf outings in Lebanon County, Jared Odrick is number one.

On Saturday, June 27, the newest Jacksonville Jaguar will again host what has quickly become the locale’s top golf outing – the Jared Odrick Golf Classic. The third edition of the popular celebrity golf event will be contested at scenic Iron Valley Golf Course in Quentin, beginning with a 1 p.m. shotgun start.

Proceeds from the outing will go towards the charities of Operation Give Back and Autism Speaks. Operation Give Back is geared towards helping support veterans, servicemen, police, firemen, first-responders and their families.

Cost of the event is $125 per person or $500 per foursome.

In March, Odrick, a graduate of Lebanon High and a former Penn State star, signed a multi-year contract with the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars. In addition to Odrick, a number of professional football players and former college players are expected to attend.

The Jared Odrick Golf Classic is part of Odrick’s stated desire to give back to the Lebanon community.
