Lebanon Country Club Hires Another Head Golf Pro

 BY JEFF FALK

Apparently, Mike Swisher wears some pretty big soft spikes. Because they sure have been hard to fill.

Recently, the Lebanon Country Club hired its third head golf professional since Swisher’s retirement in 2011. The country club tabbed Christian Sheehan to oversee every aspect of its golf operations.

Sheehan will man his new position on January 1, 2017.

A native of Warwick, Rhode Island, Sheehan comes to Lebanon from Pelican’s Nest Golf Club in Bonita Springs, Florida, where he was the director of operations for the past six seasons. Prior to that, Sheehan spent time at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York and Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio.

In addition, Sheehan has also worked closely with noted teach professionals Craig Harmon, Bill Harmon and Todd Sones.

During his collegiate days. Sheehan captained both the baseball and hockey squads at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.  He and his wife Liz, a registered nurse, have been married for 15 years and are the parents of two boys, Harlan, 11, and Patrick, three.

After 42 years of service to the Lebanon Country Club, Swisher retired from his position as head golf professional at the end of the 2011 season. Subsequently he was replaced by Sean Smythe and then by Nolan Peterson.
