Jill Keefer is a keeper.
Keefer, a graduate of Palmyra High School, has shown steady improvement during her two-plus-year Division Two women’s basketball career at West Chester University. Currently, Keefer is a major contributor to a Golden Ram team that is 13-4 overall, and 4-1 and in thick of a tight Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference race.
Keefer, a 5-11 junior guard, has started all 17 games for West Chester and averages about 23 minutes per outing. She is the Golden Rams’ fourth-leading scorer at about 10 points per game.
In addition, Keefer is WCU’s leading free thrower, converting 86 percent of her attempts. Last season, Keefer, an elementary education major, tossed in about 7.6 points per game as a sophomore.
At Palmyra High School, Keefer starred in basketball and was also an accomplished track and field and field hockey athlete.
