Iron Valley to Host Jared Odrick Golf Classic

BY JEFF FALK

The event which is quickly becoming Lebanon County’s premiere golf outing has a new home. Appropriately enough, that new home is Lebanon County’s premiere public golf course.

The second annual Jared Odrick Golf Classic will be conducted on Saturday, June 21 at Iron Valley Golf Course. Proceeds from the event will go to Operation Giveback, which provides support to deployed military and their families, disabled veterans, law enforcement, firemen and first responders, as well as Autism Speaks.

The cost of the four-person scramble outing is $125 per person or $500 per foursome. A 1 p.m. shotgun start will kickoff the festivities, which also will include a men’s long drive contest, a women’s long drive contest, closest-to-the-pins, dinner, a program, an auction and prizes.

Completed forms and registration fees can be sent to: Operation Give-Back, P.O. Box 190, Hummelstown, PA, 17036.

The Jared Odrick Golf Classic is part of Odrick’s stated desire to enhance and improve the Lebanon community and surrounding areas through charitable work. Odrick, a graduate of Lebanon High School, is currently a defensive tackle for the NFL’s Miami Dolphins and a former Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year while attending Penn State University.
