It is an attempt to determine the locale’s best golfer, on the course. It is the championship of amateur golf in Lebanon County.

The annual Lebanon County Amateur Golf Championship will be contested on Saturday and Sunday, June 25-26 at Pine Meadows Golf Course, along Route 343 in Fredericksburg. The entry fee is $130 for the 36-hole stroke play competition, which includes cart, prizes and a meal after the final round.

Applications can be found at the pro shops of most local golf courses, or can be down loaded from http://www.lebanongolf.org/tournaments.asp, and the deadline for entry is June 20. The field will be broken down into flights after Saturday’s first round.

The tournament is the Lebanon County Golf Association’s premiere event.

Justin Arnt is the tournament chairman and Jimmy Gardner is the defending champion. The top 13 finishers from the event will qualify for the Lebanon County Match Play tournament, to be conducted at the Lebanon Country Club, October 8-9.
