CCs Ritter Headed to Football Hall of Fame

BY JEFF FALK

It is, without a doubt, a daunting task. But if anyone can pull it off Daulton Ritter can.

Ritter, a senior at Cedar Crest, will be attempting to play two sports in college, when he matriculates to Division Two Malone University in Canton, Ohio. Canton is the home of the professional football hall of fame.

Ritter intends to play the same two sports at Malone that he did at Cedar Crest, baseball and football.

A third-baseman and middle-of-the-order hitter, Ritter was a key contributor to the Falcons’ run to the District Three Class AAAA baseball championship this spring. This past fall the speedy Ritter doubled as an explosive and dangerous wide out for the Falcons football team.

Ritter grabbed 48 balls for 863 yards, an average of 18 yards per snare, and tallied 11 touchdowns. Recently, playing for the North squad at the Lancaster-Lebanon League’s Tri-County senior all-star game, Ritter hauled in three passes for 104 yards.
