Black Knights Put Their Competition On Ice

BY JEFF FALK

To say that the Palmyra Black Knights were well represented at the recent preseason York Icebreaker tournament would be an understatement. Perhaps a more accurate way to characterize their performance would border on ‘dominant.’

The Black Knights, a youth ice hockey club based in Palmyra, placed teams in four different divisions, and won titles in three of them. Returning home with gold medals were the Black Knights’ Squirt ‘B’, Pee Wee ‘A’ and Bantam ‘A’ teams.

In the event, the Palmyra Black Knights’ squads compiled an 11-3-1 overall mark. The Black Knights also placed a competitive team in the Squirt ‘A’ division.

The Black Knights are comprised of youth ice hockey players from across Lebanon County. They are not affiliated with the Palmyra school district or the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association.
