As coach and player, Todd Goclowski and Andrea Hoover were a formidable team. As head and assistant, they could be even more effective.
Hoover, perhaps the best female point guard to ever play at Lebanon Valley College and one of the top Flying Dutchmen of all time, was recently hired as an assistant coach for Goclowski’s LVC women’s basketball program. During her senior season of 2010-2011, Hoover earned all-American status.
The combination of Hoover and Goclowski is generally recognized as being the driving force behind turning the women’s hoops program at LVC around and transforming it into a national player. A two-time Commonwealth Conference Player-of-the-Year, Hoover is Lebanon Valley’s all-time leader in assists and tallied 1,170 points during her career.
During her senior campaign, Hoover led the Flying Dutchmen to their first conference title and the Elite Eight of the NCAA Division Three national tournament. Last season, Lebanon Valley won its third consecutive Commonwealth Conference championship and went 24-5 overall.
